About me

My photographs showcase my personal experience of time in my everyday life, where intermediate space plays a big role in my expatriate existence. As an artist, I believe that we see the world based on how we feel it. Time is a feeling that I would like to give a presence in my art photography. To achieve this, I draw inspiration from the works of renowned artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Agnes Martin, Tomas Saraceno, Jean-Luc Nancy, Nathalie Saurrate, and Chiharu Shiota.

Louise Bourgeois,( a French-American artist) work on her past serves as a significant influence on my art photography. Her work on the human psyche and the past has led me to explore how my personal experiences shape my perception of time. Meanwhile, Agnes Martin's (an American abstract painter) minimalist paintings inspire me to use simplicity to highlight the complexities of the world, particularly the intricate relationship between time and space.

Tomas Saraceno's (an Argentine artist) floating sculptures present a new perspective on the concept of space. His works make me realize how space can be manipulated and how it can shape our experience of time. On the other hand, Jean-Luc Nancy's (a French philosopher) ideas of time encourage me to explore the philosophical aspects of time and how it is essential to our existence.
Nathalie Saurrate's (a French writer) tropisms give me a new way of looking at the world and how it interacts with the environment. Her work highlights the delicate balance of life and how everything is in constant motion. Finally, Chiharu Shiota's (a Japanese artist) installations create a sense of a suspended reality, where objects and space are transformed by the web of thread. Her use of intermediate space creates a sense of displacement and disorientation, challenging our perceptions of the physical world.

Through my art photography, I hope to capture the complexity of the world by showcasing the different ways we experience time. I want to highlight how intermediate space plays a crucial role in our perception of time and how it shapes our understanding of the world. In conclusion, my art photography is an attempt to give time a presence, and to present the invisible as visible. Through my works, I draw inspiration from different artists to create a unique perspective on the world. By exploring the themes of time, intermediate space, and ocean, I aim to capture the complexities of the world and highlight the intricate relationship between time and space

Intermediate spaces in a movement of time (2023)

The Pulse of Time

The Pulse of Time: Illuminating Intermediate Spaces as Visible Expressions of Time's Embrace (2021-) is a contemporary photography series which aims to illuminate the intermediate spaces that exist between moments, inviting viewers to contemplate the transient nature of time and our place within it. The photographs evoke a sense of quiet introspection and encourage a deeper understanding of our temporal existence. Series started after one year of living in Panama City, Panama, where the Pacific Ocean is constantly present on my everyday life.

Ocean of Oblivion (2021)

BETWEEN FOLDS

The Between Folds- series (2021-) is a continuation to the One Hour series. I'm trying to understand the complexity of our world and its rules. Especially things that exist but don't own mass, like time. Photographing folded paper, opens a vision inside something new, somewhere in the existence of an extract in time.

ONE HOUR

In 2020, the city of Paris closed. Allowing us to leave homes, for an hour per day. The feeling of the passage of time took on two different forms, it almost froze inside, but outside it ran. I was fascinated by this sense of time metamorphosis. I started folding the paper for an hour to visualize time and give it a mass that it dose not have.

The confluence of the comfort zone

The Confluence of comfort zone- series (2015- 2019) is filmed in India, while I was living there. Pictures were taken at well-known attractions where are always large crowds. The abundance of people brought out my shyness and lowered my eyes and camera down where I met the dogs.

Metamorphosis of time, one week-7 days, 2023

In this series of abstract drawings, I aim to visually present the metamorphosis of time as experienced through the lens of Jean-Luc Nancy's philosophical ideas. Drawing upon Nancy's thoughts on time, which emphasize its subjective and experiential nature, these artworks seek to evoke a deep contemplation of the temporal dimension.

New series coming- My Saudade

"My Saudade" ( 2020 - )is a poignant series of self-portrait photographs that delve into the profound emotions of motherhood, intertwined with the complex experiences of failed IVF treatments. Through these photographs, I explore the intricate layers of identity, self-reflection, and the questioning of my own womanhood
